Practical guide

From a working draft to a useful shared link.

Building, publishing and collecting responses are separate steps. You can let people explore a calculator without storing their answers, or invite them to send a deliberate submission.

Start without an account, then secure your work.

You can create and edit a page as a guest. Guest access belongs to the current browser and is temporary. Create an account and save its Account key in your password manager if you want a reliable way to return on another device.

Preview the visitor’s experience.

Use Preview in the builder to change inputs, follow conditional sections and check the page at mobile and desktop widths. A preview submission is not a real saved response. Check labels, default values, formulas and the next step before publishing.

Publish deliberately.

Publish creates a hosted page with a link you can share. Later edits are saved to the draft; press Publish changes to update what visitors see. Unpublish removes public access while keeping the draft. A public link is shareable access, not a password-protected private document.

Collect only when someone sends a response.

Add a Send Response button if you need a record of the current inputs and results. After publishing, visitors can submit without an account. Open Responses from the builder to review saved submissions. Responses are not automatically emailed to you.

Share the right link.

Use the published link from the builder’s share area, rather than your private editor address. Send it in a message, proposal or link from your website. Keep your Account key private; visitors never need it to use your published page.

Make it your own

Build it in three steps.

  1. 01

Choose a template or start blank

Replace sample text and values, then test the page in Preview.

  2. 02

    Publish and copy the link

Use Publish, then Copy link. Try it in a separate browser session to check the visitor flow.

  3. 03

    Review and iterate

Read submitted responses when applicable, improve the draft and publish your changes when ready.

A few useful details.

Are all visitor inputs stored?

No. A visitor can explore inputs locally. A response is saved when they use a Send Response button on the published page.

Will an edit immediately change the published page?

No. Your authoring draft and the published version are separate. Publish changes when you are ready to update the live page.
