Build around the request, not a list of fields.
Start with the outcome someone wants and the choices that change your next question. The Project brief template asks whether the work is new or an improvement, then shows an existing-project question only when it is relevant.
Use visibility for sections or individual blocks.
Select a block or section and open its visibility settings. Choose the input and condition that should reveal it. Keep the controlling question outside the hidden section so someone can always change their answer.
Be clear about what gets submitted.
A Send Response button saves the visitor’s current state, including inputs and calculated results, for the page owner. Review submissions in Responses. The current builder does not enforce required fields, and this template does not send email notifications.
Test every route through the form.
Change the controlling choice in Preview and check that the right follow-up appears. Keep field labels useful, placeholders illustrative and the submission button specific, such as “Send brief”. Visitors do not need a PageClay account to respond.
