Terms of use
The essentials for creating and sharing with PageClay.
Updated: 1 November 2026
The service
PageClay is operated by Alex Ostermann. It lets creators build interactive pages, publish links and manage responses. These terms govern use of the platform, not a separate relationship between a creator and a visitor.
The launch service is free, with no paid subscription. Using it does not create a payment obligation. Any future paid offer requires separate clear pricing and an express order.
Creator accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older, whether using the service personally or for an organisation. Creators are responsible for making their published pages appropriate for their intended visitors. The launch interface and platform information are provided in English.
Access and your Account key
Guest access depends on the browser session. Save an Account key in a password manager to return on other devices and protect your workspace from automatic guest cleanup. Keep the key secret: anyone who has it can access the account.
An account reference alone does not prove ownership. If all valid access methods are lost, recovery of an anonymous workspace cannot be promised.
Your content
Your content remains yours. You allow PageClay only the use needed to store, technically process, deliver and publish it as you request. You must have the rights needed for the content and images you supply.
Do not publish unlawful material, malware, phishing pages or content that infringes others’ rights. Do not bypass access controls or disrupt the security or availability of the service.
Publication and visitor data
Published links are public. Review your content, formulas and visitor notices before sharing. Results reflect your configured logic; PageClay does not verify the substantive accuracy of your calculation or its suitability for a particular decision.
You determine whether to collect visitor responses. You must provide the required information, lawful basis and any necessary consent. Arrange a data processing agreement before collecting personal data that PageClay will process on your behalf.
Storage and deletion
You can delete responses, pages and your account using the available controls. Deleting a page also removes its publications and saved responses. Unpublishing is different: it leaves the draft and saved responses in your workspace.
Unsecured guest workspaces can be cleaned up after the inactivity periods explained below. Browser access can be lost sooner, for example when cookies are cleared. Keep a separate copy of important content.
Reports and restrictions
We may restrict a page or account where necessary to address unlawful content, abuse or violations of these terms. We consider the reason, severity, effects and the legitimate interests of affected people. Urgent security issues may require immediate temporary action.
Where legally permitted and applicable, we explain restrictions and offer a way to request review through the contact address. We do not automatically pre-screen all content.
Availability and legal rights
Maintenance, faults or security measures may interrupt the service; continuous availability is not promised. Where possible and legally required, we give reasonable notice of a permanent shutdown so you can save your content.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. No exclusive court jurisdiction is imposed on consumers.
A new version of these terms is not accepted merely because you remain silent. We will obtain agreement where required. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. For questions or disputes, contact the operator.
